Santa Barbara Engagement Portraits | Marissa & Borut

Inspired by the high fashion of the early 1960s, I recently worked with Santa Barbara vendors on a Mad Men styled engagement portraits shoot. As opposed to searching for models, we chose to offer it as a giveaway to an awesome real Southern California couple getting married. We selected Marissa and Borut from Santa Monica due to their total enthusiasm for Mad Men and completely adorable email noting they even host their own Mad Men themed dinner parties for friends…so cute!

And I must say they were AWESOME models and so much fun to work with…Borut rocked the Don Draper like no one’s business and it was like Marissa was born to play Betty Francis. Love them!!

Again many thanks to all vendors who made the shoot possible: The University Club of Santa Barbara for allowing us to use your gorgeous venue; Taryn Bazzell from Mira Bella Salon & Spa totally rocked the hair styles; Rebecca Zavala from Unveiled Makeup & Hair made their already beautiful faces flawless; Coast 2 Coast Collection for their props and jewelry that gave the PERFECT finishing touches; and we all enjoyed (probably a bit too much) the beautiful breakfast pastries from Andersen’s Danish Restaurant and Bakery. Not to mention how thankful I am to Jessica Foster Confections for the beautiful gift boxes of truffles. Thank you again to all who made the shoot possible!
