It never ceases to amaze me the truth behind the phrase “it’s a small world”. A few weeks ago I was back in my hometown of Lansdale, PA visiting my grandmother. While at Dunkin’ Doughnuts (yum!!) lost in my selection of pastries, I heard someone call my name from behind. Low and behold it was Mr. and Mrs. Franks, dear family friends from my childhood! I shrieked, embarrassed my husband, and quickly gave them a hug. After talking I remembered their youngest is here in Charlottesville working on his bachelor’s in engineering. A week later Mrs. Franks called me to say they would all be in Charlottesville visiting Stephen for his 21st birthday and she asked if I would take their family portrait. I was all too thrilled to visit with them and capture these rare moments when a whole family can be together. I hope you enjoy some of their portraits below.
