Santa Barbara Wedding Venues Project

Recently Santa Barbara Parks & Recreation asked if I would like to work with them on a project highlighting their wedding venues to create a new brochure for the city. I believe my response was somewhere in the realm of “uh, duh I’d love to work with you on this project!”. I visited six different venues…all of which are of course spectacular. This is Santa Barbara after all! (Check out the final Santa Barbara Wedding Venue Brochure featured on my blog.)

First on my list was East Beach. Imagine getting married with the ocean in the foreground and the mountains at your back. Seriously, amazing!

Not to mention you could then hold your reception within walking distance at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center. Can’t go wrong with a venue that offers panoramic views of the ocean inside as well as a beautiful terrace for guests to relax outside and enjoy the cool sea breeze.

Next in the beach wedding world was Leadbetter Beach. You can hold your wedding on the beach or on a grassy area overlooking the sand and sea. Surrounded by beautiful palms and in walking distance of stunning cliffs, it’s a great area to hold a small ceremony and offers some amazing backdrops for your portraits afterwards.

Just across the street from these beaches is the next venue, Chase Palm Park. Imagine holding your ceremony and reception all together in one stunning outdoor setting with a fabulous classic carousel at your fingertips. I just hope I shoot a wedding here soon so I can capture amazingly adorable bride and groom portraits on that carousel!

Not only does Santa Barbara offer amazing beach settings for your wedding, there are also unbelievably gorgeous parks in the heart of the city. Alice Keck Park offers a beautiful lawn and pergola for your wedding ceremony. Afterwards there are countless paths, ponds, and flower beds to wander for simply stunning portraits.

Last on my list, but in NO WAY least, was the Santa Barbara Mission. The Mission literally will take your breath away as your ceremony backdrop while the wonderfully sweet smelling rose garden will offer guests an area to wander before the ceremony starts as well as a great spot for portraits after.

Seriously you can’t go wrong with any of these Santa Barbara city venues for your wedding ceremony and/or reception. Check out their site and book your location today! And be on the lookout for their new brochure to be released soon.
